Getting baby into an optimal position for birth

Dec 02, 2017

There are so many prenatal yoga poses that help with getting baby into a good position for birth (and general comfort during pregnancy!) - but one of my favorite poses is what I like to call "stirring the pelvic bowl". Try the pose in this tutorial video and you'll see why :-)

The reason I love this pose is because pretty much anyone can do it - even if you've had an epidural you may be able to get yourself into this position (with support and a birth bar...) and this is going to be SO powerful in helping baby navigate your pelvis as he makes his way into the world.

We do this throughout pregnancy to help alleviate tension in the back and shoulders, to de-stress the mind and open the hips.

Namaste!
